    Hi Coda,

    Looks great. I grabbed myself an account. We’ll see if automation is better at balancing my checkbook than I am.

    I figured than anyone who can figure out mongrel clusters should be able to write a good website. FWIW, the site seems just a little on the slow side - perhaps 6 seconds for me to load the accounts tab when I’m on the tips tab. Would you describe your back end configuration (Pound/Pen/Mongrel/Apache/Clusters/etc.) stuff?

    Phil–the site is a bit pokey, I’ll admit it. It’s less to do with our setup and much more to do with our code. We haven’t done much optimization yet, so our response time is way higher than I’d like it to be. The basic setup for what we’ve got is kind of boring: Apache 2.0 -> Pen -> Mongrel, two app servers, one MySQL server, one memcached/NFS server. Once we get through refactoring some stuff to work better with large datasets, the site’ll be plenty snappy.

    Excellent work! This is a much smarter version of something I’ve been considering writing for some time. There’s a real need for this kind of online budget/finance helper app. I can’t BELIEVE there’s no real competition that accepts OFX or other bank downloads.

    Great work - I’ve got an account and I intend to use it a lot!
